City of Lidgerwood Shares Utility Billing Update and New Payment Options Coming Soon
The City of Lidgerwood would like to share a quick update on our current utility billing situation and let residents know what to expect in the coming weeks as we work to return to our regular billing schedule. We’re hopeful everything will be back to normal by August 2025.
In May, we were finally able to send out utility bills that covered meter readings from March 28 to May 16, 2025. Because this billing period was longer than usual, your bill may be a bit higher than what you're used to. Typically, we read meters from the 28th of one month to the 28th of the next.
As a heads-up, your July bill will also reflect a slightly extended period—covering readings from May 17 to June 30, 2025—as we continue to catch up.
During this time, we want to remind everyone that no late fees are being applied, and no disconnect notices will be issued. These will resume in August when we expect to be back on track.
We’re also excited to be working with a new payment provider that will soon allow us to offer easier, more flexible ways to pay your bill. Once the system is ready, you’ll be able to pay online, by credit/debit card, ACH, text-to-pay, or even through a new automated phone line. These details will be included right on your monthly statement when available.
In the meantime, we are currently accepting cash, checks, and money orders only.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these changes. We’re confident the new system will make paying your utility bill simpler and more convenient for everyone!
